June 29th, 1936 Captain Sullivan of Ladder Co. 12 Died in the Line of Duty after being overcome by smoke and collapsing at a working fire at 365 Amherst St. He died shortly after arriving at the Black Rock Clinic. As a Fireman, Captain Sullivan was assigned to the Pan American Exposition Fire Detail During 1901.
