April 15th, 1921 Fireman Lawrence of Engine Co. 9 Died in the Line of Duty of Injuries previously received while operating at a Multiple Alarm Fire at the Fleischman Malt House at the Foot of Albany St on April 14th. Fireman Lawrence was struck in the stomach by a heavy brass nozzle from a master stream while operating on the roof of an adjoining building. He never regained consciousness.
