May 19th, 1905 Driver Minnis of Engine Co. 6 Died in the Line of Duty of Injuires Previously received while responding to a blaze at Alabama and Mackinaw Sts on May 17th. Driver Minnis was thrown from the apparatus after losing control of the horses while turning onto Hamburg St from Seneca St.The horses continued on before crashing into a street car further down Hamburg St. Driver Minnis suffered severe head trauma and died in the Emergency Hospital.
