January 28th,1907 Fireman Henky of Engine Co. 4 Died in the Line of Duty while operating at a 3+ Alarm Fire at Box 29, The HooDoo Box at 101-107 Seneca St. While operating a hose line from the roof of a neighboring building, a collapse of the 8 story building buried the crews of Engine's 4 & 8. After 2 hours, 10 men had been dug out of the rubble, however 3 remained missing after a roll call was taken. It took 17 hours to locate the bodies of the missing men. Fireman Henky was a ten year veteran.
