July 6th, 1912 Fireman Seigert of Engine Co. 22 Died in the Line of Duty of Injuries received while responding to a fire at 25 Central Ave. While turning onto Bailey Ave from Broadway the Hose Cart Fireman Seigert was riding skidded and he lost his grip falling to the street below. Fireman Seigert was taken to.Precinct 11 before being transferred to the Emergency Hospital where he died a few hours later. Fireman Seigert was cited for bravery on the Roll of Merit on two different occasions.
