March 13th, 1911 Fireman Clinton of Engine Co. 1 Died in the Line of Duty while operating at a 3 Alarm Fire at the Wood Products Co. at Jersey and Fourth Sts. Fireman Clinton was hit by debris after an alcohol tank exploded shortly after the building collapsed. Fireman Clinton, who's Dad was the driver of Engine Co. 24 died while undergoing surgery at the hospital.
